The bride entered the church escort- ■ ed by her father, and was attired in a I charming gown of silver embroidered I net over taffeta, cut on early Victorian | lines with full skirt the bodice and i sleeves being trimmed with silver ribbon. The beautiful veil of net and lace | was lent for the occasion by a cousin I of the bride. Mrs lan Brickell. Pahiatua. It was caught under a dainty Juliet cap of white and silver. Her bouquet was of white carnations and roses. The three bridesmaids. Misses Joyce Brickell <sister o r the bride*, doline Barnard (Wellington) and Nancy .O'Hara tMasterion>. wore frocks of old I rose shot taffeta cut with very full jfkirts and heart-shaped necklines. 'I heir bouquets and head-dresses were ; of gladioli in colours to tone. The traini bearer little Columbine Hall, niece of ' the bridegroom wore a miniature replica of the bride's gown and carried ; a silver horseshoe decorated with j white carnations. Mr Guy Wenden, of Featherston. ! cousin of the bridegroom, was best j man and the groomsmen were Mr Alan i Fisher (Clareville) and Trevor Mowai (R.N.Z.A.F., Rongotai). During the signing of the register Miss Ruth Suntees excellentlv sang ."I'll Walk Beside You." On leaving the church the bride was > presented with a lucky silver horse- ! shoe by little Stuart Hall, nephew of ! the bridegroom. At the subsequent reception held in , the Masonic Hall the guests were received by Mrs Brickell. who Wore a I navy and white ensemble with navy < accessories and shoulder spray of red ‘ roses and maiden-hair fern. She was i assisted by Mrs Hall who was attired ■' in a teal blue frogk. maize straw hat, and toning accessories and shoulder ispray.

When Mr and Mrs Hall left by motor car for a short tour in the Hawke's Bay district the bride was wearing a delphinium blue ensemble with turban tn match, and blue and white accessories.
