j COMING OF AGE PARTY 'MISS JOYCE NIELSEN HONOURED. ("Times-Age" Special.) i A most enjoyable lime was spent in! I thee Memorial Hall on Saturday even-j ing when Mr and .Mrs M. J. Nielsen j i entertained about 120 guests at a dance | in honour of the coming of age of their i .daughter Joyce. The hall was most j 1 tastefully decorated with greenery and! | streamers. Appreciated music was! j supplied for dancing by Mr J. Barnes's j ! Orchestra, extras being played by I Miss 1. Madsen. Miss Marian Miniiie delighted the! gathering with two tap dances. Mr W.j Johansen was an efficient M.C. Miss Joyce Nielsen was attired in aj very pretty floral taffeta frock while! Mrs Nielsen wore navy blue floral. Following the cutting of the birthdaycake. Mr H. C. Mortensen, in proposing the toast of the guest of the evening, spoke in glowing terms of her popularity and capabilities. Mr M. J. Nielsen suitably responded on behalf of his daughter. Supper was served and the happy j gathering was brought to a conclusion ( - with the singing of Auld Lang Syne; and God Save the King. Personal Items. Mrs Johnstone. Dannevirke, has returned after having spent a holiday ■ with Mrs G. Osborne. Miss O. Andersen, Wellington, is j the guest of Mr and Mrs M. J. Niel-! Miss Nola Nielsen. Featherston, has i been staying with Mr and Mrs G. Nielsen. Mr and Mrs O. Nikolaisen are spending a holiday in Hawke's Bay.
