PARKING FACILITIES i (To the Editor.) Sir,—"Citizen’s" protest against the parking of motor lorries in a residential area is an indictment of the dilatoriness of our civic authorities, and our Town Clerk’s comment that the council has been considering the matter will corI- tainly be a comfort to those who arc g and have been subjected to this nuiif sance. Action, of course, will follow, o but when? x n "Citizen” might also have referred to o the noise of these lorries and their effect on the sick room and the aged, I; and their early morning disturbances, . Just by way of variety could it not be s arranged that alternate streets for . parking areas be made available for the v fleet? I should like to see those streets . in which our worthy councillors reside allocated for weekly periods as areas ,■> where these lorries could park during . their spare time, If we did not see f prompt action we would hear plenty of ! protes*s. s The authorities have had ample time s for consideration; these vehicles should . never have been allowed to clutter up ; the area and the time for action is now. , Let us get on with it.--! am. etc..
