NATIONAL MEETING. A RECORD EQUALLED. 'By Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH. January 28. A feature of the national swimming championship meeting tonight was that Miss J. MacDonald. Southland, equalled her own record of 74J seconds for the 100 yards women's backstroke. The 100 yards intermediate boy's breaststroke. won by B. Morgan. Southland, from J. Shanahan. Taranaki, and J. R. Erickson. Canterbury, is to be re-swum because a short circuit in the electric system gave some of the competitors a shock when they touched the wet concrete at the end of the pool. Results were:—100 yards junior boys: R. Rice (Auckland) 1, S. Hawkins (Hawke's Bay) 2. Maniapoto (Bay of Plenty) 3. Time. 68 4-5. 50 yards junior girls: B. Casey (Wellington) 1, M.
