NAZI DENIALS

OF UPRISINGS IN ITALY PASSAGE Or TROOPS ADMITTED. ON WAV TO SOUTH. .By T.-k-.-s Aph—Press A>«s.at ion-Copy l iuht • i Received This Day 12.20 p m.i LONDON. January 27. Berlin official sources admit, that German troops passed through Milan en route to Southern Italy, but deny foreign rumours of uprisings in Italy, notably in Milan and Turin. They state that there are no German troops in Turin. It is pointed out in London that reports of disturbances in Italy which continue to reach London, originate in Belgrade, where German propagandists have been active in the past. Probably they are at present endeavouring to cause unrest and nervousness. A correspondent of the British United Press on the Italian frontier says all transport facilities at the Brenner Pass are reserved for military traffic. There is a steady stream of material going south.
