<DY “THE GRAFTFR.T

The New Zealand Cup winner Serenata, who had finished third in the Wellington Cup on the first tfty, won the Summer Handicap decisively, and the sprint was won by Hearth. The Thorndon Handicap was won by Trench Fight. Racing was very keen with many close and thrilling finishes.

The pool on the last race was £18.537, the previous best at Trentham being £17,032 in Old Bill's Cup. The total for the day was also a Trentham record, reaching £ 111.872 10s (win £45.745 10s; place £66,127). an increase of £1966 on the previous best. £109,906 10s. last Anniversary Day. The total for the three days was £280,997 10s, against £300.225 10s last year, a decrease of £ 19.223.
