VAIN EFFORTS ITALIAN COUNTER-ATTACKS BROKEN. MORE CAPTURES OF MEN AND MATERIAL. LONDON. January 20. Italian forces yesterday unsuccessfully counter-attacked beyond Klisura. The Greeks allowed the attackers to approach before firing a sudden hail of bullets, and the confused enemy thereupon hastily retreated after wildly throwing a few grenades. Italian artillery did not attempt to support the counterattack. Heavy snowfall on most of the rest of the Albanian front has restricted the operations to local artillery duels. A Greek communique states that in limited local operations numerous prisoners and abundant material were captured. A spokesman in Athens said that in spite of the snow the Greeks have furthei 1 advanced their lines and two further regiments of the “Wolves of Tuscany" Division have been destroyed.
