She was born in Takaka. ) Nelson, in 1858 and entered a convent! at an early age. For many 7 years she; was teaching in Nelson, Hamilton and j Napier, and was in charge of the paro-1 chial school. She was well known as a' frequent visitor to the sick in their: homes and al the hospital. She celebrated her diamond jubilee of her religious profession last October.
