BOWLING CLUB COMPETITIONS. ("Times-Age" Special.) The following are the results of games played in the Carterton Bowling Club’s competitions last evening;— Handicap Pairs.—Beaven and Newbould (s) beat E. Clark and E. Smith (s) 21/19; Beaven and Barber (s) beat C. E. White and Harrington (s), 30/22; McCarty and Barber (s) beat Spooner and Kilmister (s), 25 12. \ TENNIS CAPRINGTON PARK CLUB. The Carrington Park Tennis Club will play a match against Featherston at Featherston tomorrow. Cars will leave the tennis courts at 1.15 p.m. The team will be chosen from the following;—Mesdamcs M. Kennedy, of Belvedere, j who has been on active service over- i seas and invalided back to New Zealand, has returned home. Mrs. Copeland, who some time ago met with an accident to her right hand, has returned to Carterton. Boy Scouts Parade. Members of the Carterton Boy Scouts will parade on Sunday evening for the purpose of attending a memorial service in connection with the death of their leader. Lord Baden Powell. The j Scouts will march to St. Mark's Church j where the Rev. W. F. Stent will preach. Dance at Belvedere. A dance will be held in the Belvedere Schoolroom tonight. The proceeds are to be devoted to the entertainment of soldiers leaving the district for service overseas. Good music and supper will be features of the dance. District High School. Improvements to the concrete in 1 front of the Carterton District High School have been made by the con-. tractors from the Lower Hutt.
