Mr 0. Yates, T-rmerly of Masterton. has been appointed headmaster of the WMroa District High School. Mr T A Russell, Borough Sanitary Inspector, is at present confined to his home through illness, Mr J. W. Collins, deputy chairman of the National Council for the Reclamation of Waste Material, will visit Masterton tomorrow. The death occurred at the Hamilton Hospital yesterday of Mr. Ernest Sylvester O'Neill, of Tnita. and formerly of Turatahi and I‘ahiatua, at the age of •58 years. Dr. E Marsden. Secretary ot the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, has been appointed scientific adviser to the fighting forces. He is I attached to Army Headquarters.
