Millar, Invercargill, and Mr A. G. Williams, Hawera, two young men who were on their way to Britain. Both are looking extremely fit and carrying a few souvenirs of their enforced stay on Emirn Island where the raider dropped them. The two young mon arrived from Sydney by the flying-boat Awnrua. In a kit that carried most of his belongings Mr Williams had a cup that ho had made from a coconut shell on the island. He also produced a vast sun hat that he had picked up during his wanderings since he left New Zealand.

The two companions were delighted to be back in New Zealand. They had also thoroughly enjoyed their transTasman flight, the first occasion on which either of them had flown.
