at Nyeri with military honours, in keeping with his rani; of Lieuten-ant-General. The casket was carried on a gun-carriage, over which the Union Jack and Scout hat were placed. The British Government offered burial in Westminster Abbey, but Lord Baden-Powell's remains are to stay in Nyeri until after the war. DOMINION SCOUTS PASSING OF LEADER DEPLORED.
