Mr. H. J. Bradmore, manager of the Bank of Australasia, Tauranga, has retired after 40 years’ service. lie joined in Gore and was in Wellington fur some years.
Mr A. F Naylor is shortly to relinquish his position on the Supreme Court stafi", Wellington, to undertake war service. Mr, Naylor was formerly associate to Mr, Justice Reed.
Mr. S. E. Neilson, formerly secretary of the Taranaki Rugby Union, has been appointed acting-secretary to the New South Wales Rugby Union. He left New Plymouth four years ago to reside in Sydney.
The death has occurred in her eighty-sixth year of Mrs. M. A. Collett, one of the oldest identities in the Waipawa district. Her husband, the late Mr. Martin Collett, was a prominent member of the Manchester Unity Oddfellows, a pa.M district grand master and one of the foundation members of the Waipawa Lodge.
Mr and Mrs J. C. M„ Mac Kay and their small son have come from Hastings to take up their residence in Masterton, Mr Mac Kay has taken over the control of the ' Daily Times" job printing business, which was relinquished by Mr L. Emery, on his going into camp this week.
