RIFLE SHOOTING ANNUAL MEETING OF TARARUA CLUB ('‘Times-Age’' Special.) The annual meeting of the Tararu: Defence Rifle Club was held on th< range at Nircaha when Mr P. Berr; presided. FIRE BRIGADE

MONTHLY MEETING

The monthly meeting of the Eketahuna Fire Brigade was held last night. Superintendent H. Rogers presiding over a good attendance of members. Accounts amounting t> £2 5s were passed for payment. Seasonal greetings- were received from several brigades.

Superintendent Rogers and Secretary S. Daniel were appointed delegates to confer with representatives of the Pahiatua and Woodville brigades in respect to the Triangul-w Shield compe'iti-.’n to be held at Pahiatua shortly.

Treasurer J. Jesson was presented with a two-year gold bar. completing 31 years service, and Fireman S. O'Regan received a two-year bar. completing 15 years service. The captains and teams to compete in the annual brigade three-men event were drawn. The competition will be run off next month.
