Mr Tanner was educated at Huntly Preparatory School, and at Wanganui Collegiate School. During his course at Wanganui he first suffered from an ailment which left him with Indifferent ■ health during the remainder of his} life. Mr Tanner is survived by his I wife. They were married about Hi years ago, at which time they settled in Hastings, Mr Tanner entering busi-i ness in his profession of engineer. Illhealth enforced his retirement for a number of years before his death.
