WEDDING

' The wedding took place in Knox i Church. Masterton recently of Rita | Ada. oldest daughter of Mr. E. R. Ward, i and the late Mrs. Ward. Walton’s . Avenue, and John James, third son of I Mrs. J. W. Martin, and the late Mr. ) Martin, Chapel Street. Masterton. The I Rev. John Davie officiated. | The bride, who was escorted by her | father, wore a graceful ivory satin i gown cut on slim-fitting lines and ■ fashioned with a heart-shaped neck- | line and shirred bodice. Her tulle veil ‘ was held in place with a coronet of i orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of Christmas lilies, white roses and sweet peas with maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by her cousin. Miss Thyra Evans. Hastings: and Miss Margie Fauvel. Lower Hutt.: who wore frocks of delphinium blue ! taffeta made after the same style as { the bride's. Their posies were of blue i delphiniums, pink sweet peas, and car-; nations. Mr. Arthur Martin, brother' of the bridegroom, was best man.

The reception was held at the Prince of Wales Hotel, where the guests were received by the bride's aunt, who wore a blue ensemble and hat to tone, with a spray of carnations. Mrs. Martin, mother of the bridegroom, wore a black costume and hat to tone with a shoulder spray of carnations. The bride wore a rose pink costume for travelling, with navy accessories Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Marlin will make their home in Masterion.
