OBITUARY
.MRS E. F. U. JACKSON. — The death occurred in Masterlim on I Saturday of Mrs Emma Frances Usher! Jackson, of The Terrace, widow of lhei late Mr Frederick Jackson. The late Mrs Jackson, who was born in New South Wales and was 67 years! old, came to New Zealand 35 years ago.} She took a keen interest in al! the ac-l tivities of St. Matthew’s Church of! which she was an active member. Of a kindly and thoughtful disposition she was always on the alert to render acts of kindness quietly. At St. Matthew's Church last night the Venerable Archdeacon E. J. Rich paid a tribute to her life of faithful' devotion to duty and of service to; many a worthy cause. Her husband predeceased her abouti 25 years ago. his death occurring a few I months after his marriage. Mrs Jack-1 son is survived by a sister residing in I Australia. The funeral took place this morning i Mr Rich, officiating, assisted by the I Revs. V. W Joblm and 11. 'VaepaJ Among the wreaths was one from the! Masterton" branch, of. the British Israel!
