The pair are stranded in the far reaches of .Alaska with .nothing but illiterate eskimos and sled dogs for companions and their relationship, which is born in spirited conflict and misunderstanding ripens to a deep love which is translated io the screen with profound and penetrating insight, Charles Bickford is menacing as Bill Bugler, the tenacious detective who is determined to get his man by fair means or foul —and the fad that his man happens to be Dr Jim Holden, the role played by Ches-| ter Morris, lends zest and excitement to the plot.
