At Pahiatua on Boxing Day, Miss Jessie Isobel Kirk, daughter of Mr'and Mrs I. P. G. Kirk, of Pahiatua, was married to Mr John Francis Brown, of Wellington.

Visitors to Hastings for the Rosen-berg-Howard wedding included: Mr and Mrs L. R. Wilton and family, Mr Duncan McLachlan. Mr and Mrs E. T. Wilton, Mr and Mrs N. H. McLachlan and family, .Mr and Mrs P. D. McLachlan and family, Miss Freda Kemble, all from Masterton, and Mr and Mrs Kemble Welch, of Wellington, and formerly of Masterton. Mr. and Mrs. C. B. (Lee) Jordan, of Christchurch and formerly of Wellington are celebrating their golden wedding today. Mrs. Jordan was Miss Edith Slatter, Wellington. They were married at the Taranaki Street Wesleyan Church on December 31, 1890, and resided in Wellington, where Mr. Jordan was on the staff of the Government Life Insurance Office till 1907, wehn he was transferred to the Audit Department and stationed in Christchurch, where they still reside. Mr. Jordan was one of the original members of the Oriental Football Club.
