REGENT THEATRE

“NIGHT TRAIN TO MUNICH.” For its New Year offering the Regent Theatre . offers one of the finest and most brilliant productions of the year. Opening tonight this great English production brings to all the play which took London by storm—reflecting the tense situation which is known as the “Munich Crisis” it is in no sense a propaganda picture, but one dealing with the lightning progress of events leading to the present world crisis. Thrilling it is, but there are many brilliant comedy touches —in fact the comedy element is one of its most striking features. It is fast moving, timely and up-to-the-minute and is a picture which will long be remembered. A perfect cast is headed by Margaret Lockwood, Rex Harrison, Ronald Culver (the commander of “French Without Tears”) and Nauton Wayne and Basil Radford (well remembered as the two cricket “fans” of “The Lady Vanishes”). The main story centres round the efforts of a scientist to free the country with his secret formula to prevent it falling into German hands. Excitement there is aplenty, but the picture’s great charm lies in the brilliant comedy and light-hearted abandon. No one should miss this really outstanding entertainment. The latest Air M&il News, a glorious “Going Places,” and' the ever popular “Stranger Than Fiction,” complete the programme.
