FIRE & EXPLOSION
IN BERLIN RAILWAY STATION HOURS TAKEN TO SUBDUE BLAZE. GERMAN RADIO ADMISSION. The German radio admits that a large fire broke out early yesterday morning in Anhalter Station, Berlin, the 8.8. C. reports. A Berlin correspondent says it appears that the fire started in the left luggage office of the station and was followed by a violentexplosion. Clouds of smoke enveloped the western end of the building. Fire brigades brought the fire under control after several hours’ work. Tickets are being issued in another place for the time being. The station was bombed not long ago by the Royal Air Force.
