STRUCK BY TAXI
A CHILD KILLED. FATALITY AT CHRISTCHURCH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, December 27. A girl, aged two and a half years, Beverley Joan Terris, of 482 Colombo Street, Sydenham, was struck by a taxi and killed at 6.15 this evening. She suffered head injuries, and was immediately taken to the Christchurch Public Hospital by the taxi-driver, Cyril Griffith Cullen, accompanied by her father, Walter Sydney Terris. She died almost immediately after admission. An inquest was opened tonight before Mr E. C. Levvey, coroner. A postmortem examination was ordered.
