JOINT APPEAL
FOR MORE COUNTRY HOMES FOR EVACUEES. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 8.30 a.m.) LONDON, December 27. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Cardinal Hinsley, and the Rev. Walter Armstrong, Moderator of the Free Church Federal Council, jointly appeal for more country homes for evacuees and admit that the many responses suggest that more homes are available. “This is clearly a matter wherein Christians may be expected to give a lead and help wholeheartedly in Christian duty.
