NEW LEAGUE TO ASSIST BRITISH WORKERS. RELIEF OF AIR RAID DISTRESS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.40 p.m.) NEW YORK, December 26. ■ The formation of an "American Labour Committee to Aid British Labour” is announced by Mr Matthew Woll, vice-president of the American Federation of Labour, and president of the League for Human Rights, Freedom and Democracy. He said local groups could be formed throughout the country which would appeal to the big trade unions to raise funds, clothing and medicines for British workers who were victims of air raids.
