ANOTHER VICTORY
HEAVY GUNS & PRISONERS TAKEN ITALIANS REINFORCED. BUT FAIL TO STEM ONSLAUGHT. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.8 a.m.) RUGBY, December 26. Agency messages from Athens state that Greek troops celebrated Christmas with a new victory in the region west of the River Drinos, driving back the enemy in a spirited attack. In addition to the eight guns already announced to have been taken, ten heavy guns, important material and a number of prisoners, including officers, were captured. ' Further north, after a .successful attack, some ’ villages were occupied, despite snow and fog. Italian reinforcements sent from Italy were unable to alter the situation.
