AMERICAN CLIPPER

EXPECTED IN AUCKLAND TODAY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, December 26. The Pan-American Airways American Clipper left Canton Island at 7.10 a.m., New Zealand time, today and arrived at Noumea at 7.5 p.m. Leaving Noumea tomorrow morning the clipper is expected at Auckland about 4 o’clock in the afternoon and is expected to leave on Saturday on the return to San Francisco. Unfavourable weather in the Pacific caused a delay 'of five days at San Francisco, 24 hours at Honolulu and 24 hours at Canton Island. The clipper has passengers from Honolulu and Noumea and is carrying between 1300 lb. and 14001 b. of mail, 9001 b. of which is for beyond Auckland.
