NAZI AIMS

CRUDE ADDRESS BY FRANK IN POLAND TIRADE OF BLASPHEMOUS ABUSE. LOT OF POLES DEFINED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, December 24. “The Nazi method and aims are more crudely manifested in Poland than any other enemy-occupied territory,” says the “Daily Telegraph.” “No one but a full-blooded Nazi could have chosen a Christmas ceremony for such an oration as that which the Nazi Governor-General, Dr. Frank, delivered at Cracow last weekend. There was no nonsense about goodwill to men in the speech. “That the tone of this Christmas message was primarily addressed to the unhappy Polish subjects of the Reich but ultimately to the world at large may be gauged from the statement that the ‘greatest gift which Almighty God has given man is to be German, and we are proud to master the world as Germans.’ “As for Poles, they were bluntly told that they have no mission in Polish territory and if they wish to retain the liberty of their religious rights ‘they must loyally do their duty, which is to work’ for their German oppressors. Such, the world will note, is to be the basis of the ‘new order.’ Dr. Frank obviously speaks with the voice of Hitler, who he proclaims will be ‘called upon to be the leader of the world' and the ‘greatest war lord in history.’ ”
