NEW DESTROYER
RECORD CONSTRUCTION PERIOD IN U.S.A. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) WASHINGTON. December 23. The Secretary of the Navy. Colonel Knox, announced that the 1650-ton destroyer Edison would be ready for delivery in January after a record 10month construction period, compared with Ihe normal 18 to 31 months, or nine months for the 1200-ton World War destroyers.
