EXPANSION IN CANADA. ADDITIONAL MINE-SWEEPERS. <By Telegraph—Press Associaiton—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.50 a.m.) OTTAWA, December 23. The Munitions Supply Department has announced the placing of an Admiralty order for twelve mine-sweep-ers, making Canada’s war time shipbuilding programme eighty million dollars, including sixty corvettes for Canada and ten for Britain, with fifty mine-sweepers, many of which have already been, commissioned, and also thirty vessels of many types altered in Canadian yards to serve as naval vessels.
