MOTORIST BEFORE COURT
FACES INTOXICATION CHARGE. PLEA OF NOT GUILTY ENTERED. <At a sitting of the Masterton Magistrate’s Court held in Masterton this morning, Alexander Thompson Hausman, a painter, aged 70, of Dixon Street, was remanded to appear at Masterton on January 30, 1941, on a charge of having been intoxicated in charge of a motor truck in Queen Street yesterday afternoon. Messrs L. J. Taylor and H. E. Pither, J's.P., were on the Bench. Mr H. H. Daniell, who appeared for Hausman, entered a plea of not guilty. On the application of Senior-Ser-geant G. A. Doggett a remand was\ granted. Bail was fixed for £5O (self) \ and a surety of £5O. 1 The defendant was arrested yesterday afternoon by Constable J. G. Fitzpatrick.
