LITTLE BOMBING
BRITAIN'S QUIET DAY AND NIGHT. ENEMY PLANE HEARD OVER ULSTER. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) RUGBY. December 15. “No bombs were dropped on any part of England during daylight today,” states an official communique. “Enemy activity over Britain last night was slight” slates another communique, which adds: “In the early
evening, bombs were dropped on a town in the Thames Estuary. Several houses were damaged and a few people were killed, and others injuied. Elsewhere very title damage was done, and very few casualties are reported ” The presence of enemy aircraft was reported over Northern Ireland last nioht according to a statement by the Ministry of Public Security of Northern Ireland. Anti-aircraft guns were in action, but no bombs were dropped and no incident is reported.
