GIFT AFTERNOON
BRIDE TO BE HONOURED. Miss Phyllis Nikolaison was the hostess at a gift afternoon held in the drawing room of the Midland Hotel recently in honour of Miss Joyce Wrigley, who is to be married shortly. Items were given by Miss Jean Douglas and Miss Megan Rowlands. Competitions were won by Miss Douglas and Mesdames T. A. Cunningham and A. Southey. Among those present were Mesdames Eric Shaw, A. Southey, T. A. Cunningham, H. Duffy, Misses J. Wrigley, P. Nikolaison, M. Nikolaison, E. Wrigley, J. Douglas, M. Tildesley, W. Davie, M. Rowlands, A. Tregurtha.
