TASMAN ANNIVERSARY
PRINCE BERNHARD MEETS. NEW ZEALANDERS. FIGHT AGAINST COMMON FOE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day. 10.20 a.m.) LONDON, December 13. Prince Bernhard attended a reception at the New Zealand Forces Club in celebration of the 298th anniversary of Abel Tasman’s discovery of New Zealand. The Prince said: “I am sure Tasman never thought New Zealanders and Dutchmen would one day fight against a common foe. We fight for victory and the 300th anniversary will be celebrated after our victory.”
