U-BOAT LOSSES

NUMBER SUNK RECENTLY Ji NAVAL AND AIR FORCE OPERATIONS. WORK OF HUNTING CRAFT. Although particulars of the sinking of enemy U-boats are not made public these craft are stated to have suffered severely of late at the hands of the Royal Navy and Air Force, the 8.8. C. reports. A number of U-boats have been damaged and probably destroyed at the enemy-occupied base at Lorient and naval hunting craft are said also to have met with successes recently.
