The heavy explosion of a giant oiltank of high-powered aviation petrol belonging to a .Standard Oils subsidiary shook Plocsti and started a fire which raged for hours before brought under control by German and Rumanian firemen. It is officially stated that the petrol involved was ready for export. The explosion was due to a careless workman lighting a cigarette too near the tank. 1
