CANADIAN PROJECT

EDUCATIONAL COURSES FOR TROOPS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, December 8. Plans are now settled for an educational programme for the Canadian overseas forces in Britain which is intended to help the men in their military work as well as aid them on their return to civil life. Because of their dispersal over a wide area the education effort to a large extent must be carried on by the units themselves. Talks and instruction will be given to small groups in the billet area. Correspondence courses will also be provided, with the regard of certificates after written examinations recognised by the Canadian authorities. Training in trades, possibly by local technical schools, is also planned.
