£1,000,000 APPEAL
PROVINCIAL PATRIOTIC FUND. STREET RALLY ON FRIDAY. The organisers of the appeal in Masterton feel that the interest of the public has now been obtained, as was demonstrated by the response at the gala day on Saturday. To keep up the interest the committee intends to hold a further rally in Queen Street on Friday evening next to give another opportunity to add to the funds ol the local effort by giving onlookers something for their money. About six teams will be stationed A intervals along Queen Street. I res teams are arranging items to amuse he public and many business firms and private individuals have donated valuable prizes for the various stums (hat are being organised by the team.,.
