R.A.F. SKILL

PRAISED BY THE GREEKS SINKING OF ITALIAN DESTROYER. VESSEL MAY BE SALVAGED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, December 7. According to an Athens message the Italian destroyer which is lying halfsubmerged at Santi Quaranta is to be examined by experts to see if it can be used again. The Greeks who entered Santi Quaranta were loud in praise of the skill of the R.A.F. in sinking the Italian warship, and suggested that if it can be refloated it should be renamed the Helle in memory of the Greek cruiser of this name which was sunk by the Italians in August. In a further attack on Valona yesterday by the R.A.F. a column of black smoke rose from a munitions dump which received a direct hit, says the Air Ministry news service. Bombs also exploded in a motor transport park and military buildings. From operations all the aircraft returned safely.
