A Fighting Fnish. Gid Bill won the Eolton Handicap at the Woodville meeting on Saturday in characteristic style in a real fighting finish with Gayest Son. to whom he was conceding 331 b. Old Bill got the run of the race on the rails in behind the pacemakers on the fence, the leaders being Hunting Cat and Dynasty, whereas Gayest Son was three horses out over the last six furlongs, being cn the outer of Old Bill and Mastei’ Cyklon. Old Bill got an-opening in the straight without leaving the fence, and soon forged through to the lead, but Gayest Son put in a strong challenge. He drew up, but over the last 50 yards Old Bill, ridden out with the whip fought him every inch of the way and kept his head in front. They drew right out from the others. Dynasty being four lengths back in third place, with Hasten fourth and Master Cyklon next. Rcre Nekitini Stakes.
