The Germans in Holland have imprisoned at least 600 Dutchmen, stating that they are reluctantly forced to take this step as a reprisal “for the inhuman treatment of Germans interned in the Dutch East Indies.” This was announced by an official of the Dutch circles in London, who stated. that the prisoners include seven generals, nineteen professors, 73 teachers, ten Parliamentarians, seven journalists and six police commissioners.
