KUBELIK DEAD

FAMOUS CZECH VIOLINIST. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) BERLIN, December 5. The death has occurred of the violinist Jan Kubelik. Jan Kubelik, of Czech nationality but with cosmopolitan habits and honours, has been one of the greatest violinists of the age. Ho made manyworld tours and was well known on this side of the world. He has died at the age of GO. Kubelik was born at Michie, near Prague, his father being described as a “market gardener and musician.” Later in life the son, a wealthy man, made his home in Bohemia, where he lived for a large part of his life. He married a daughter of Count Czaky. present Hungarian Foreign Minister.
