ADDINGTON SALE FAT SHEEP PRICES INCREASE. VALUES FOR FAT CATTLE LOWER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, December 4. Fat sheep sold keenly at the Addington sale today, when the entry was again 4000. Best ewes and wethers were dearer by up to 3s. a head and ethers by Is. to 2s. Wethers were in short supply. Heavy wethers made to 425. 7d., medium weights 31s. to 355.; best ewes to 365. 4d., medium 255. to 30s. A small yarding of store sheep met an excellent demand from a large attendance of buyers. A big line of station wethers from Marlborough sold very well. Ewes and lambs met a good demand at a rise of Is. 6d.

Though the fat lamb yarding was larger the sale was keen and steady at slightly lower rates, which are now a little above the export schedule. A smaller yarding of fat cattle came forward but the prices were again lower. The sale was very slow, and best beef was 10s. to 15s. down, with ordinary and cow beef as much as 255. a head lower. Good beet' made 375. 6d. to 40s. a hundred pounds. Best steers sold to £2l 17s. 6d., medium £l3 to £18; best heifers to £l6 2s. 6d„ others £8 10s. to £l2 10s; best cows to £l6, others £7 to £ll. x Good supplies for both pork and bacon were offered. Pork remained about firm, but bacon was higher by 4s. to ss. a head. Pork averaged 7jd. to Slid, a pound and bacon to 7?d.

MASTERTON SALE FAT SHEEP IN DEMAND'. A good entry of fat sheep was offered; to a fair attendance at the Masterton stock sale yesterday, and sold readily. A small yarding of store sheep, mainly ewes with black-face lambs at foot, was also forward. Realisations are: — Sheep: Fat woolly S.D. wethers, 255; other breeds, 23s to 23s 6d; fat woolly S.D. ewes, 21s 6d; other breeds, 21s; fat shorn ewes, 16s 6d to 17s; light, 12s Id to 15s lOd; woolly four-tooth Wethers, 26s 6d; woolly ewes, with lambs, 15s to 17s 3d; 120 shorn ewes with 130 per cent lambs, 17s 7d. Pigs: Slips, 30s; weaners, 17s 6d to 20s. Cattle: Cows in milk, £5 10s to £9.
