) 1 MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by "The Water Supply Act, 1908,” "The Counties Act, 1920,” and of all other Acts and powers (if any) it in that behalf enabling, the Masterton County Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows:— “That in terms of a requisition signed by a majority of the Ratepayers supplied by the Ferpridge Water Races, the Masterton County Council hereby appoints George Edward Pain, farmer, of Kaituna, Masterton; George Henry Perry, farmer, of Upper Plain, Masterton; Roland Maunsell Perry, farmer, of Fernridge. Masterton; Robert Taylforth, farmer, of Kaituna, Masterton; and Owen Alexander Wyeth, farmer, of Kaituna, Masterton, as Managing Ratepayers, who shall have the management on behalf of the Council, of the said Water Races, and for that purpose hereby confers upon the said Managing Ratepayers the powers of management possessed by the Council under Sections 46 and 47 of "The Water Supply Act, 1908,” and that this Special Order shall take effect on and from the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.” AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the above Special Order will be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting of the Masterton County Council, to be held in the Council Chambers, Chapel Street.
