SOAKING RAIN
WELCOMED IN NEW SOUTH WALES. RELIEF TO THREE-QUARTERS OF STATE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, December 3. The metropolitan water supply has substantially benefited by the soaking rain which began on Saturday and ceased only today, adding three months' supply to the storage at all the reservoirs> The entire coast as well as many inland centres has had a thorough soaking, bringing relief to threequarters of the State. Useful rains have also fallen in Queensland and parts of Victoria and South Australia.
