BOXING CONTEST
STRICKLAND v. ALABAMA KID. For people living in the outlying districts who intend booking seats for the Strickland-Alabama Kid contest, the Manawatu Boxing Association points out that by writing and enclosing the sum of £1 2s 6d, which amount covers tax and postage, tickets will be sent on as soon as the box plan opens on December 12. The address is 25 Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North. Outer ringside scats will cost Us 6d, including tax and postage. These too will be posted on December 12. The public are advised to make their application for these scats as early as possible as the booking is very heavy. All applications made in the above way will receive prompt attention. The gates will open at 6 p.m. The first contest, amateur, will commence at 8 sharp. The Hutchinson-Caltaux bout will commence at 8.30 and will be fol- i lowed immediately by the big contest J of the night, Strickland v. Alabama i Kid.
