ADDRESS-IN-REPLY

AMENDMENT IN BRITAIN. SUBMITTED BY THREE-MEN PARTY. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, November 30. The Independent Labour Party in the House of Commons, which consists of Mr. Maxton and two followers, tabled an amendment to the Address-in-Reply ■to the King's speech. The amendment, which will be debated, regrets the failure of the Government to state the terms on which peace could be made or propose a conference to end the war on the basis of the “restoration of the freedom of each country,” and the pledge of all warring Governments to use all their resources for the establishment of a new social order.
