BIRTHDAY AT WORK

MR. WINSTON CHURCHILL. CONGRATULATIONS POUR IN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, November 30. It is understood that the Prime Minister, Mr. Churchill, spent his sixtysixth birthday today at work, but that he hoped during the weekend to attend a small family gathering, of which the youngest member would be his grandson, the seven-weeks-old Winston Churchill, son of Lieutenant Randolph Churchill. Congratulatory messages poured in to Downing Street all the morning from all parts of Britain and the Empire. The Netherlands East Indies sent £35,000 as a birthday present for securing Spitfires.
