TENSION IN RUMANIA

OVER IRON GUARD MURDERS STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARED. GENERAL INDIGNATION AND DISGUST. , A Reuter message from Belgrade transmitted by the 8.8. C. reports that a state of emergency has been declared throughout Rumania. There is indignation and disgust throughout the country at the reign of terror which has followed in Rumania so soon after joining the Axis. An American report states that more German troops are arriving in Rumania and another message speaks of great troops movements in Bucharest. One suggestion is that civil war is imminent and that Germany is preparing some new move in Rumania and is seeking to find a means of helping Italy without ..committing ..herself ..to ..any large-scale operations in the Balkan area.
