FINANCIAL AID

CONSIDERATION POSTPONED. BY UNITED STATES SENATE COMMITTEE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON, November 27. The Senate Foreign Relations Committee has decided to postpone until next year consideration of legislation permitting United States financial aid to Britain. A New Orleans message reports that the American Federation of Labour adopted a resolution supporting the Administration’s policy of all aid short of war to Britain. Senator George (chairman of he Senate Foreign Relations Committee) said: "I have no doubt the question of further aid to Britain will arise early next session. Personally, I believe such aid should be given.” Previously the Secretary for Commerce, Mr. Jones, had said: “I do not know of anything we are able to do for Britain until and if Congress acts on the matter.”
