ST. ANDREW’S NIGHT
CONCERT IN OPERA HOUSE. The box plan for the Saint Andrew Society’s concert on Saint AndrewT night (Saturday next) gives clear indication of the high reputation earned by the society's past concerts. No doubt "farmers' day" today will see a large number of country reservations. In addition to the quality of the concert itself, there is the added inducement to patronage in that one half of the net proceeds go to patriotic purposes. The Society is fortunate in again having the services of Mr John M Lawson as stage-manager. His skill and experience ensure success in that department. The Saint Andrew Ladies' Choir, the Saint Andrew Pipe Band, and the various dance teams, are all practising assiduously for the great occasion, and reports indicate that results will be worthy of their strenuous efforts. The box plans are at Pither's.
